Dental Surgery.

A Dental Surgical removal (also referred to as tooth extraction, exodontia, exodontics, or informally, tooth pulling) is the removal of teeth from the dental alveolus (socket) in the alveolar bone. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become unrestorable through tooth decay, periodontal disease, or dental trauma, especially when they are associated with toothache.

Alterations in the oral cavity could be an early warning sign for a pathological process. Any discolorations, swelling, ulcerations, lumps and pain in the Facial and Oral area must be examined and should not be ignored

Dental Sepsis.

Untreated dental sepsis can lead to severe pain and life threatening facial sepsis. Spread of these infections is an emergency and should be treated urgently.

Anaesthesia.

Most Oral Surgical Procedures can be performed under General Anesthesia, Sedation or Local Anesthesia. The decision to perform Oral Surgery under these various Anesthetic options is dependent on the extent of the Surgical Procedure, availability of Resources and Patient Specific Factors.
